although i only rated this film with three stars i would recommend it to anyone who loves baseball. pretty simple plot, no great surprises but it's fun and easy to watch and eastwood, adams and timberlake all give fine performances. it's a light pleasant film that would fit a summer sunday afternoon perfectly. amy adams has an incredible natural appeal to her, she reminds me of audrey hepburn in that respect. i'm always happy to see her and i enjoy her no matter what's shes in. as a long time eastwood fan, it's nice to see him holding up so well, he's funny even when he isn't trying and you always root for him no matter how gruff the character he plays, he certainly has his own unique style. bossajake
