"Twisted Sister invade Germany!
After several half-attempts to reunite Twisted Sister, the full 'Stay Hungry'-era lineup finally reunited in 2001 for the New York Steel benefit show for 9/11. Two years later saw a full-blown make up and costume reunion come to pass, with several festival dates throughout Europe and the US, culminating in this show.
Great DVD."

"It's incredible how those 40 plus year old men were jumping, running, screaming and fighting made a great show¡¡¡¡¡ they looked very powerfull....
By the way, the DVD has good image, good sound (as possible, because at the live show the sound could be better). As a Twisted Sister Fan (#1 in my country, Venezuela)... I didn't have any information about the band (since 1987, only all cds collection (TS, Widowmaker, Dee Solo career and internet), i have to say the interviews were very interesting, no matter they were between the live show. However, something failed.....I think there is only one song from the Come Out and Play Album¡¡¡¡ What about "Come Out And Play", "Leader Of The Pack" and "I Believe in You" and the others?......
Well.... if you are a SMF member and know others SMF around the world.... BUY IT¡¡¡¡ and PLAY IT LOUD.... M****A¡¡¡¡¡¡"

"Well, is very interesting to see a 80's band with the original members with a classical performance (make-up included). I think this concert was recorded in one of those Europeans festivals a couple years ago and the audience did a great job.
The boys did a terrific job too, all the classics included, interviews every couple songs about reunion and different stuff, good. Video quality excellent. Audio could be better from the source, I mean the dvd quality is great, but during the performance sometimes is not easy to understand what Dee is singing.
anything else is ok."

""It's the price we gotta play and all the games we gotta play, makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on."
No words were ever so truthful than those coming from big mouth par ex Dee Snider.
Not since the Floyd reunion at Live 8 have there been so many uncomfortable people amassed on one stage that barely halfway wanted to be there.
The CD side is disposable, "Whoopee, more live Sister tracks of old stuff."
In the DVD documentary, there's this recurring theme of this being like a job, putting on the costume, going onstage and pretending like it's 20 years ago, and if you want to put on a uniform and clock in, go work at Wendy's, which some of the band may have been doing since the Sisters called it a day in 1987.
Although he could probably eat me for lunch, The Animal just seems like some angry fat guy with a ponytail, not convincing in the slightest that he's put the animosity with Snider behind him. Jay Jay is in it for the money, that's basically it. Eddie just seems like "Well, whatever." A.J. is just kind of "Hey, didn't I leave the group earlier than anyone?" Dee seems to be the only one really happy to be back playing with these guys.
I loved Twisted Sister's music and still do, and while the rhetoric of "doing it for the fans" is appreciative and the world was a way lesser place without them, they have to do it for themselves first and foremost and based on this documentary, I don't think they're doing that. Twisted Forever? Yes. Forever Twisted? Not so much so.

"Twisted Sister-Live at Wacken Open Air-The Reunion
Eagle Rock Entertainment

Twisted Sister has returned with their first DVD in their twenty plus year career. It's not just a DVD, in addition to the fourteen classic Twisted Sister tracks, there are several interviews with the band between songs and there's also the photo gallery, and the making of Still Hungry. The gem on this release is that this DVD is a dual disc and also has an audio side. There are four tracks from May 1980, one from London, December 1982 and rounding things out, six from their Wacken Open Air performance from August 2nd, 2003. The only downside is that this is all packaged in a CD jewel case. While there is plenty of Twisted Sister pictures, the liners are seriously lacking, there's no input from the band. I for one would have loved each member to write a sentence or two about their career or the reunion. This is a package that even a casual fan Twisted Sister will adore, it's all the hits, it's all the original members, it's Twisted Sister Live At Wacken-The Reunion. So, pick this up and prepare yourself for 105 minutes of classic Twisted Sister. Play It Loud Mutha!
