My favorite Universal Monster is the Wolfman, so naturally I am partial to this film, I like that they went with an old-school approach. Lots of eye-opening sequences and special effects. Even the makeup looks old-school. Wasn't sure about Benicio del Toro at first, but he has this lon chaney, jr quality about him. maybe that was the point. Pplenty of gore and nice sound effects, too. Anthony Hopkins , is Anthony Hopkins. So no disappointments there. Acting on BDT part was for the most part bland, but the film overall was entertaining for sure.

The film just seemed to drag on. I stopped watching it 2 times in the middle and restarted. It was OK, but not worth a lot of your time.

Fantastic movie! Great acting; incredible scenery and photography; winning script. Not the same, recycled stories you've seen before. Original and compelling. Hopkins is up to his usual impeccable standards, while Tel Toro and Blunt give great performances as the tortured souls most deeply affected by the curse. Highly recommended.

I thought this was a great flick and it was a twist on the same old remakes of the wolfman. The acting was fantastic and I truly enjoyed it.
