No idea why people don't take the time to read what they're buying. They make assumptions and don't bother to read what is on the DVD and then complain when it's not what they assumed it to be, especially when no one is certain why or how they arrived at their assumptions. It is CLEARLY stated what this DVD contains - a short and 2 episodes from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Anyone who knows how to read can learn this quickly. If you don't bother to look into what you're buying, you have no right to get annoyed at the contents. What a lesson to send to your kids. The DVD has just what it claimed it would. Nothing more or less.

Where to go?

JJ Abrams screwed this sago over so badly with The Force Awakens (a movie that remains the weakest of all Star Wars movies and has only succeeded in making people appreciate the prequels more) and then handed the reins over to Rian Johnson. There was, apparently, no overall plan as for what the 3 movies would be. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy told Johnson to do whatever he wanted and both approved the script he came up with.

The climax of The Force Awakens was a shoe-horn with little else to go to except the obvious: Luke had apparently turned his back on his old friends and all things related to the Jedi because he felt guilty over what happened with Kylo Ren. Many fans reacted with shock and hated this. I have no idea why because it was pretty obvious from the previous film that something like this would be revealed.

Knowing that Abrams had erred badly in copying nearly every single plot point note by note from Episode IV for his Episode VII, Johnson decided to do the opposite. He'd set up the note and then go right when you thought he'd go left or vice versa. His casual murder of Snoke also pissed off many fans, even though Lucas himself was a casual character-killer. Personally, I didn't care at all because Snoke was boring in TFA and I was glad to see him gone, quite frankly. There's really only one moment where this film truly comes alive and that's when Rey and Kylo briefly join forces. There was a palpable thrill emanating from the theater at that moment but otherwise this is a lackluster offering and while it's miles ahead of TFA, it's still the 2nd weakest Star Wars movie in the entire saga.
