This was a really good documentary about a guy trying to make a film. In the doc, Mark, the film maker is trying to finish his film COVEN. The disc includes the finished film as a bonus feature. I actually thought his film COVEN had a great look to it.

Highly recommended.

This is the movie about the sexually perverse life of Bob Crane, star of the show Hogan's Heroes. It seems to pretty much follow the same storyline as the version told on Unsolved Mysteries. There is a "Murder in Scottsdale" documentary which is interesting. Also a "Making of" featurette and a decent commentary. Willem Defoe is kind of creepy and strange in this one.

I love the Project Greenlight Season 2 set during which this film was made. As for the movie itself, I can't understand why anyone would like this crap and I also don't know why the project greenlight judges picked this script and the directors they picked. They had two scripts that were much better and two film makers that were much better. This is just...bad with a capitol B.A.D.

The cover of this makes it looks like its going to be one of those movies you just have to have in your collection. It's also got Scarlett Johansson. In my opinion, she doesn't save this movie. It seemed to me that it had almost nothing to do with the Elizabeth Short movie. It was all about a fictional 3 way affair that I found mind numbingly boring. I mean, it's unreal how boring this thing was. Bad. Very, very bad.

I got this and then put in the bonus disc thinking I was going to be watching a feature length making of doc. I don't know how long the bonus features were but they were verrrry long. It seemed like it kept going for hours. Anyway, for anyone who likes bonus features and feel like the more features they get the better the DVD, then this is well worth 2 credits. This is one of those cases when you'd be foolish to take the 1 disc version if you can afford to get the 2 disc version. The bonus features are WELL WORTH the extra credit on this one.

This documentary follows the lives of a group of people obsessed with watching movies (in theaters). The people live for watching movies. One keeps a notebook filled with the names and dates of the movies he has seen. One notebook shows that he saw 1000 movies in one 8 month period. All of these people suffer from some form of mental illness. Schizophrenia is mentioned more than once. Watching this movie made me think someone should make a documentary about people who below to a site where they obsessively talk about movies in the site threads and swap movies with each other.

I liked this movie a lot. It also has lots of extras and they're interesting which isn't always the case with bonus material. I loved the fact that the CGI in this movie doesn't look CGI as it does in many movies. I think they did a really good job on the computer generated monster. Much, much better than the CGI monsters in I AM LEGEND. I like the fact that it didn't have famous actors in it. It made it easier to get into the story. Recommended.

This is a great movie with some decent bonus material. It's turned out to be a keeper for sure. It's a documentary about people going to Hollywood to try and make it as actors. You feel like you yourself live in Hollywood and hang out with these people. It's really good. The story focus' on these aspiring actors engaging in a type of pan-handling in which they dress up as superheros and have photos taken in exchange for tips. The Batman guy has some psychological problems and gets arrested and gets in the face of some people who don't want to tip him. The four main characters in this doc are people who portray SUperman, Batman, Wonder WOman and the Hulk. You don't have to be a comic book fan to like this movie. If you simply like to peek into the lives of people who lead unusual lives you will probably like this.

This is a very tongue-in-cheek sci-fi film in which racers drive cross country and kill people for sport. I'm a fan of David Carradine films and I like this one. I didn't think this one would age well but I watched it a couple of weeks ago and I liked it as much as when I saw it 20 years ago. This is good but you have to keep in mind that it's not an overly serious take on the idea. Not comedy but very tongue-in-cheek.

This is a great documentary. I've watched it about half a dozen times. It never gets old. Daniel is an artist, musician with a mental illness. An amazing amount of his life has been documented through home movies and photos and Audio tapes. You'll be astounded at just how much of the life of Daniel and his family had been documented here. If you have an interest in outsider art, strange music, true stories of mental illness of simply want to sneak a peak into an unusual life, then give this film a try.

Very Good.

No bonus stuff here but the documentary is really good. While watching it, you feel a little disconnected to them as performers and see them as the real people they are beneath the celebrity. Some performs make documentaries and behind the scenes stuff and they still try to keep up the image and all the fake hype. No the case here. They seem like very real people who just happen to have jobs in the entertainment industry. Interesting side of the Chicks if you are a fan.

This was a great movie. For a long time I didn't bother with it because I thought the cover made it look like a movie the SCREAM type of horror fans would go for. I was wrong. When I finally broke down and watched it, I liked it so much I bought myself a personal copy. It's got a lot of extras on the 2 disc version so if that's you thing you might want to go with that version. For me, this was a movie I only partially understood the first time I watched it. After more veiwings peices fell into place and I came to understand the film much better.

The first time I saw this was just a couple of years after WKRP IN CINCINNATI went off of the air and I remember how cool I thought it was when I saw that Bonner, the guy who played HERB on WRKP was one of the main actors in this film. They eat Kentucky Friend Chicken and I think it's funny that they don't recognise the name MISTER ASMODEUS.

Update-I got this in June from here on the website. I can very highly recommend it. My previous review was based on a bootleg version I got on ebay years ago. The bonus features on this disc are amazing. It's one of the most interesting DVD / Bonuses I've ever watched. One of the girls in the movie was best friends with Stevie Nicks. It's weird thinking that while this was being made, the girl in the movie was hanging out with the woman who would be the welsh witch of Fleetwood Mac in about 8 years after the thing was being filmed. It's even more strange to imagine that the girl's future husband would one day also be married to Stevie NIcks. Then there is the Famous Monsters of Filmland connection. Forrest Akerman is on the bonus features in several places as well as his magazine Famous Monsters. Usually bonus features stick with stories of what goes on the set while the movie is being made but the features here go so deep into the lives of the film makers that you feel like you're looking at old photo albums and home movies of some old friends who just happen to have made a movie.

I love the family guy but didn't expect this to be any good and had no plans to get it. I saw it in the pawn shop for $5 and bought it. It turned out to be great! One of the best DVDS I bought in awhile. Stewie as Darth Vader is great. They even put in the little nuances like when Darth kills Obi Wan, who he kicks Obi Wan's cloak with his foot to make sure he's gone. Stewie does that. Just little things like that are in it.

The bonus section has a collection of clips from various episodes of Family Guy in which they make references to Star Wars and it has a feature with Seth and George Lucas sitting down and having a discussion about Family Guy and Star Wars. This is well worth 2 credits if you're a fan of either STAR WARS or the FAMILY GUY.

Pretty good, but don't expect anything great.

The Family Guy Movie consisted of 3 TV episodes but then Fox came to the realization that instead of releasing a DVD box set of 15 episodes for $35 they could release a 12 episode DVD box set for $35 and then call this a movie and charge everyone another $15. Basically making another $15 on content that should have been in one box.

I actually like the old version of THE FLY better than the remake. I think the story is better. Of course, it's and old movie. If you're not someone who can watch them, go with the remake. It's also good and probably more realistic. I could more easily picture the machines in the remake working than I could the machine in this original version. But anyway, I like this version better. The sequel, RETURN OF THE FLY, was also good. Not always the case for sequels.

Man, it seems like this town is real. Except for a couple of places there doesn't seem to be a script but I'm sure there was. I've actually lived in a place in Ohio where the people acted a lot like these people. I even lived next door to some asshole teenager that killed cats like the two kids in this movie. It's very realistic. They seem like depressingly real people. My favorite scene in the movie is where two elementary school age kids are dressed as cowboys with cap guns and they're playing in the junkyard. These little kids are talking about how much they hate cops and they're talking about the reason the cops hate them so much is because they get more P***Y than the cops do. These kids are like in the second or third grade probably. This is followed by a scene with a kid wearing rabbit ears. That scene in the junkyard with the rabbit kid and the two cap gun kids is my favorite scene in the movie. This is much better, in my opinion, than the more famous KIDS which was made by the same guy. I also noticed that the characters wear old school 80s heavy metal shirts. I'm not sure but I think it may have been stuff like Def Leppard and Krokus. There are scenes where the killing of cats looks real but I read that it wasn't.

He's reinvented Michael Myers from the ground up and I like Rob's version of the character's story much better. This DVD also comes with a WHOLE LOT OF EXTRAS. If you're someone who likes getting a lot of extra stuff on your DVD to watch after you've seen the movie, then you get your money's worth with this one.

M. Night's UNBREAKABLE and SIXTH SENSE are both great movies. SIGNS is okay too and THE VILLAGE was watchable. I couldn't understand how LADY IN THE WATER ever got greenlighted. Because of LADY IN THE WATER I had low expectations for this film. The horrible reviews it got right after its theatrical release also lead me to think it would be a real clunker. Well, I watched it and I thought it was as good as SIGNS.

From the opening I was hooked, trying to figure out what was causing people to commit suicide. It kept me guessing all the way till the end. The problem is, I was still guessing when the ending credits started to roll. I never figured out what was causing the mass suicides. At the end there is a news reporter talking to a guy who states that he is going to explain what caused it all. I thought that was a bit of a cop out method of revealing everything but at least I thought I was finally going to get it. Well, after the guy "explained" what had caused everything, it was still "unexplained" to me. I didn't get. Even though I have no idea after watching the movie what it was that was causing all the people to kill themselves, I still liked the movie.

It's got a few extras but they're not really all that impressive really. Even with the lackluster bonus features the movie itself is worth a credit in my opinion..

This was a really good movie. A boy is taken away from the stable life he has been living with his grandparents to rejoin his drug-addict mother in her chaotic life. During the first part of the movie the mother looks and sounds like Courtney Love circa 1993-96. The kid gets taken by a religious fanatic relative and turned into a kid preacher but three years later his drugged-out mother gets him again and puts makeup and dresses on him so that he looks and acts like a girl. They live with a boyfriend played by Marilyn Manson.

Instead of reviewing the movie I Am Legend this will be a review of the Ultimate Edition and why you should get it. At the time of my writing this review they have this 3-disc version of I Am Legend at Amazon.com for $12.95. I think it's well worth it and if you're a fan of this movie you should spend the money to upgrade. It comes with lots of bonus features including the animated comics found on the 2-disc edition. This set also comes with a 32-page booklet and 6 cards as well as another bonus. The only downside is that the box is kind of big and won't fit with the rest of your DVDs.

I've read reviews in which people hated this movie but I liked it. I will admit that it has flaws though.

1. The monsters look WAY TOO CGI FAKE. There are seens where it looks like your standing over someone's shoulder watching them play a video game that has some kick ass graphics. Some examples of this are the scene where he falls out of a window with a vampire and the scene where the vampires attack his truck. The vampire dogs looks very fake, just like they're from a resident evil video game. The test rats really look fake. If this were made in the 70s or even the 80s before of the CGI and they were forced to make the vampires people in costumes, it would have been a much scarier movie. Because of the CGI, this movie isn't scary. You have to enjoy it the same way you would any other SCI-FI film.

2. The other problem is that the movie has a nice pace throughout. It seems that the first half of the movie takes place during the first 90% of the running time and then the second half of the movie takes place during 10% of the movie.

It sounds like I'm saying what a terrible movie this was but even with all the flaws, I still like it. When I first heard WIll Smith was going to play the lead role I thought it was going to suck. It didn't seem like his type of film but I have to say I think he did a great job. If not for the curse of Hollywood Computer Graphics, this might have been a great movie instead of a really good one.

I was P.O'd when I got this. I posted my single disc edition on here then ordered this from Amazon for about $6 which ran $9 after shipping. I was prepared for what I thought would be a commentary track and a second disc full of making of featurettes and stuff. Guess what. The second disc is nothing but one of those digital copy disc. This had nothing that the single disc version doesn't have. What a BIG let down. Counting the postage I paid to mail my copy and the price I paid for this I'm out of $11 with no new features to show for my money.
