I posted a blu-ray / dvd combo that requires 4 credits to request.  That might be a deterrant to some so I am wondering how to offer a free dvd from my tower to whoever request the combo.  Is that allowed?  How can I go about notifying members who might consider that?

Yes, that is allowed.  We have the "DVD Bazaar" forum for offering deals just like this, and many other variations besides.

You can go the the Bazaar and start a new post.  Make the title something like

"Free DVD with <title of blue-ray combo""

and spell out the deal in the body of the post, something like

"Request <title of blue-ray combo> off my shelf and get any 1-credit DVD off my shelf as a freebie, just message me the title."

I'll add, though, that as the combo "Rosewater" you just posted is the only copy in the system, I don't see a need to be in a hurry to offer a deal.  I would make more sense for your copy of "Riddick" that you posted 3 weeks ago, as it has 5 copies in the system.

You may also offer reduced credit on combos--3 cr--since the general rule counting a dvd as 2 credits is off-putting for a lot of folks.
