I've been away a while, but I thought it was 1 credit for DVD and 2 for blu-rays, but I can't find any mention of this on the site. Did I imagine that? |

You are correct, still 1cr dvd/ 2cr blu-ray Any DVD that you can find by entering the UPC on the Post DVDs page may be posted on this site, as long as you have the original DVD in its original case. Many different releases of DVDs are available, so the UPC must match the DVD you are posting! The UPC code must appear on the DVD(s) that are received--that means if the UPC appears only on the box that holds a set of DVDs, then the box must be sent with the DVDs. The requestor will be able to re-swap them ONLY if the discs she or he receives include the official UPC, printed by the manufacturer. If the sender includes the "official" UPC that was on something attached to the item at some point (the cellophane, the paper band, etc.), we can also accept that as postable.

Also, be careful when posting your discs: make sure to check how many discs the database says the title contains. It is not uncommon for the database listing to be incorrect on the disc count (for example, a Blu-ray/DVD combo may actually contain 2 discs, while the listing only says 1 disc; or a complete season of a TV series may contain 4 discs, while the listing only says 1 disc). The number of credits charged the requester and given to the sender is based on what is in the database. Many times I have had to send a message to the team letting them know the details (UPC, title, actual disc count) and then I check back occasionally to see if the database has been updated. I do NOT add anything to my tower until the disc count in the listing is correct. |

I too have had disk counts off, I used the "contact us" link, sent them my titles info that is wrong & a link to amazon for the title showing the correct disk count. They fixed it within 1-2 days. ~Lois I just had this email exchange.
Fri, May 17 at 9:39 AM Dear Lois,
Thanks for writing to us about this. Our system recognizes multi-disc sets as either DVD sets or Blu-ray sets, but not combination sets. We are currently working on a solution to recognize Blu-ray/DVD sets and apply different credits to the items within the set, but the change would actually be an intricate process that would require complicated restructuring of our system. In the meantime, combination sets will be recognized as Blu-ray sets for consistency's sake. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
We hope this information is helpful. Have a great day!

Regarding: Any blu-ray/dvd combo -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've been thinking and noticing. A single DVD is 1 credit & a single Blu-ray is 2 credits why if the packaged disks are 1 Blu-ray & 1 DVD is the total credits needed 4. It should always be 3 credits to order from another member.
Thank you ~Lois

And I don't have a BluRay compatible player. I was only charged one credit. I have not marked it received yet. How should I proceed? |
