Help Center - Can I refer others without giving out my email address?

Yes!

You do not need to share your email address with referrals!

• A new member can enter your SwapaDVD Nickname when she or he registers, to record the referral.

• We also provide a SwapaDVD email, a "dummy" email derived from your SwapaDVD nickname, which can be used instead of your personal email address. Your SwapaDVD email cannot be used to send or receive email messages.

• You can also insert your "SwapaDVD email" (or real email) address into linked icons or email sigs, and get referrals automatically.

To choose a SwapaDVD Nickname, you must make a SwapaDVD Profile in your account settings.

Your SwapaDVD email is derived from your SwapaDVD Nickname.

• If you have chosen the SwapaDVD Nickname "Horatio," for example, your SwapaDVD email is "Horatio@swapadvd.com."

  *Note that you do not earn referral credit for accounts at your own household, accounts that are not the first for the household, or accounts that violate the Terms of Use.   Referred accounts need to complete registration and activate the accounts by providing all account information before referral credit will be granted.
